North Central College Track Club

Just who are we?  The club started many years ago (back in the 70’s I think) before my time. The club was called “Wing Foot Club” in the early days.  The initial group was made up of alumni runners from North Central College.

Today, the club has very little to do with that initial group. It has become more of a true Naperville running club.  We have kept the name because of a strong desire to help the NCC track and field. The college has over the years let us use the track and in return we donate over 90% of our membership fees to NCC track and field.

So, we really are just a Naperville (and local area) running club.  And, we welcome anyone into our club.  We have runners of all levels.

The key things we can provide are:

  1. Weekly local runs
  2. Track workouts from April to October
  3. A network of runners and friends
  4. Marathon training runs and coaching
  5. Some social interaction
  6. A running singlet for $30
  7. A website with some information that will be provided by all members.
  8. Someone to run with and race with
  9. Someone to give you a hard time for being a slacker
  10. Hal Carlson in true form
